About Tamara

Hi, I'm Tamara (she/her), a Professional Counselor Associate, and I'm passionate about supporting adults throughout the lifespan to move beyond old patterns and journey toward wholeness.

I work with adults — young, midlife, and older — who may be struggling with life transitions or simply longing to feel at home within themselves and within the world. I bring a deep trust in the reality and power of the unconscious and will help you nurture your relationship with your inner world through parts work and depth psychotherapy. This, in turn, will strengthen and nourish your relationships with the outer world.

You don't have to navigate what you're carrying alone. If you choose to work with me, all parts of you will be welcome. Through depth psychotherapy and Voice Dialogue, we will make space for the many facets within you, while remaining open to those experiences that carry a sense of mystery, significance, and aliveness. This work unfolds in relationship, over time, and in service to a more empowered, ensouled way of being.

My Approach

For me, therapy is essentially collaborative work that rests on the foundation of a solid therapeutic alliance. In our work together, you can expect to be met with compassion, curiosity, respect, and authenticity. I work eclectically, drawing primarily from Voice Dialogue (a parts work modality similar to IFS), Jungian psychotherapy, and attachment-based psychotherapy.

Training & Certifications

  • MA Counseling Psychology — Pacifica Graduate Institute
  • Multiple trainings and 10+ years of experience facilitating Voice Dialogue
  • Year-long program in Jungian Myth and Psychology — The Salome Institute with Satya Doyle Byock
  • Supervised by Doug Chapman, LPC, LMHC, CADC III

About Me

Outside of work, I love dancing, movies, gardening, eating delicious food with my partner, and walking our dog Finn along the Willamette River.
