Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA)
Hi, I'm Corey, a CSWA supporting clients in cultivating present awareness, curiosity, self-compassion and greater choice through somatic therapy, mindfulness and parts work. I'm offering therapy for teens and adults navigating issues with anxiety, autism, bipolar, body image, depression, gender identity, loss or grief, parenting, PTSD, self-esteem, sexual problems, social phobia and veterans/military service.
I work well with people who find themselves caught between who they've learned to be and who they long to become. Often questioning inherited beliefs, long standing patterns or ways of being that no longer fit, they seek a life that feels more authentically their own. They long to feel more grounded in themselves, more connected in relationship and more at home in their own lives.
I believe meaningful change begins by bringing a different quality of attention to our experience—one rooted in curiosity, compassion and openness. Rather than rushing to fix or eliminate difficult thoughts, emotions or behaviors, I help clients slow down and listen to what those experiences may be trying to communicate.
Modalities that inform my work include:
My work is grounded in the belief that greater awareness creates the possibility for greater choice.
Outside the therapy room, I'm a partner, parent, first-generation college graduate and lover of nature, music, film, flaky pastry and deep conversation. My path toward this work has been shaped by reclaiming my voice, questioning inherited ideas about masculinity and learning to embrace sensitivity as a source of strength. I strive to bring warmth, humility and an awareness of the cultural and social forces that shape our lives, while remaining deeply curious about what helps us live more fully as ourselves.
