My name is Khefri! I’m a Clinical Social Work Associate dedicated to supporting individuals in their healing, recovery, and in building a life that aligns with their needs, dreams, and authentic self.
Having spent my own life growing and healing from trauma, I understand the courage it takes to explore the heavier parts of our stories and engage curiously and compassionately with the ways those experiences have shaped us. My passion for mental health grew from a desire to break intergenerational cycles of abuse within my own family of origin and create a healthier, joy-filled life rooted in agency, integrity, community, and meaningful relationships. This ongoing journey informs the centered, compassionate presence I bring to my work and my commitment to supporting others on their own healing journeys.
I believe that healing—being a gentle steward to our trauma— creates ripple effects that radiate beyond the self. My orientation to practice centers relationships, including the therapeutic relationship, as sites of transformation and healing, not only for individuals but for the systems we are nested within. The connections we have to each other are a small part of creating a more just, caring, community-oriented, and sustainable world. I am committed to meeting you with a centered, grounded invitation to grow.
My hope is that the people I work with gain a sense of safety to explore what has shaped them, build a greater capacity for nourishment and joy, cultivate pattern awareness, feel empowered to interrupt those patterns, and grow to feel more deserving of healthy, supportive experiences. I want clients to leave with tools to regulate their nervous system, recognize when to seek support, advocate for their needs and desires, and move toward a life that reflects their most authentic selves.
I work from a client-centered, empowerment-based lens with adults and with relationships of many forms—including couples, polyamorous and non-monogamous constellations, and family or chosen-family systems, navigating experiences and challenges such as:
◌ Complex trauma and post-traumatic stress
◌ Anxiety and depression
◌ Substance use
◌ Codependency
◌ Burnout
◌ Relationship and dating dynamics
◌ LGBTQIA+ experiences and identity exploration
◌ Loss and grief
The therapeutic modalities I draw upon are responsive to individual needs and often pull from:
◌ Acceptance and commitment therapy
◌ Somatic and mindfulness-based practices
◌ Internal family systems
◌ Psychodynamic therapy
◌ Cognitive behavioral therapy
I earned a Master of Social Work from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies with a Minor in writing from The Evergreen State College. My clinical experience includes work in intensive outpatient environments, as well as outpatient therapy, supporting adults across a broad spectrum of needs and identities.
I am under the clinical supervision of Caroline Tien, LCSW (Lic# L3356).
In my down time, I fill my cup by playing music or singing, connecting with community, looking for floral glimmers, savoring seasonal foods, and getting lost in books. I share my home with a flu[y 15-year-old retired farm cat named Kitty Mau Mau, who is delightfully bossy and continually models the art of asking for what you need
